Teaching for Teachers: Progressions, Cues, and Adaptations - Anastasia Timina
Teaching for Teachers: Progressions, Cues, and Adaptations - Anastasia Timina
Ground Based - Advanced, Professionals & those interested in theory & teaching aerial arts
Sunday 2-330 (UP)
This workshop focuses on how to break down and distribute information to students of all levels, how to determine what information is appropriate, and how to create progressions for any skill. We will learn how to create compelling class plans that will keep students progressing and finding success in even the most challenging of aerial classes and apparatuses. This workshop is great for new and experienced teachers as well as anyone who wants to learn how to better break down content for themselves. This class will include examples, guidelines, and discussion.
Anastasia has been training since 2011 and has been performing since 2013. Anastasia enjoys all forms of aerial including rope, silks, sling, trapeze, invented apparatus, and sometimes lyra. She completed the Aerial Teacher Training Program in January of 2016 and since has been working as a coach to help others discover the joy of aerial and their potential to fly. She hopes that she can help achieve each students individual goals, help them find their own artistic voice and influences, and hone their abilities. In her free time she can be found making something or cuddling with her cats.
