Whether you call it a flag, a reverse meathook, or an armbreaker, this beautiful shape isn't just for straps! This workshop will explore supported "faux flag" shapes on aerial silks including discussions of utility, entrances and exits, and adding fantastic flair without committing to a Cirque du Soleil workout schedule.
Katie Mesmerie became immersed in the aerial world in 2009 when she began taking classes at S-Connection Aerial Arts in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her teacher training under the guidance of the Brazilian-trained circus artist Corey de Souza and relocated to Denver in 2012. Katie has taught at multiple studios throughout Colorado and currently teaches beginner-to-advanced level aerialists at Aerial Cirque Over Denver. Katie is a passionate teacher, performer, and student of the wide world of circus.
