Invented Apparatus - Jill Katzenberger
Invented Apparatus - Jill Katzenberger
INVENTED APPARATUS - ALL LEVELS
Saturday 12-130 (TH)
One way to keep aerial interesting (for yourself and an audience) is to create something new to dance on. Jill has been reimagining this art form for almost 12 years. She will share some sequences that explore the shapes and space provided by unusual objects as well as some of the lessons learned when designing invented apparatus from scratch. Participants will get to play on several of their one-of-a-kind creations such as the Aerial Cage, aerial ladder, lyra- ladder, mini-lyra-ladder, chandelyra and more...as well as some unique configerations using multiple hoops and silk.
Jill Katzenberger enjoys flying, flipping, and frolicking in the air...also eating Swedish fish...but not always at the same time. She has been teaching fabric, rope, trapeze, and hoop through Aircat Aerial Arts for over 12 years and performs with Fractal Society and Lunar Fire. Jill is an educator by profession and teaches science-based aerial instruction with an emphasis on wrap mechanics. She is the co-founder of the Junkyard Social Club.
